Afri-EcoFeeds is a food recycling business that recycles food waste into food and medicinal ingredients and additives that are used as feed supplements, additives and health tonics for livestock. The business piloted production of livestock feed, egg coloring additives and health tonics from food waste in Babati Manyara from 2021-2023 which showed high success. The business seeks to position itself for commercial production of those products in Dar Es Salaam due to high generation of food waste. Currently, the business produces at a small scale health tonics and energy supplements products for livestock in Dar Es Salaam. The business primary goal is to reduce food waste in environment and landfills which will not only cut down carbon footprints but also produce affordable feed and medicinal alternatives for livestock smallholders in the country.
